RIM is trying to woo developers with free tablet, for which porting Android applications to OS BlackBerry tablet. This promotion was announced on Twitter by Alec Saunders, vice president of developer relations for RIM.

Developers who are registered with the BlackBerry App World and is eligible can get a 16GB Playbook, by ported and put their applications in the App World from 2 to 13 February.

Later this month, RIM will release an 2.0 upgrade to OS tablets, as announced last month at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. This new version will have a BlackBerry Runtime for Android applications, which will allow Android 2.3.3 applications running on these devices.
